Shooting Star Entertainment is an experienced wedding and event DJ company based out of Traverse City, MI. In addition to providing a world-class DJ to your special day, this talented company also offers amazing music, lighting, sound systems and karaoke (upon request). Our goal is to exceed your expectations, whether you’re envisioning a crazy and wild affair, or an elegant and conservative evening. Shooting Star Entertainment has over 20 years of experience bringing couples’ unique visions to life.



What we Offer

We pride ourselves on our professionalism, dependability, expertise, and customer service. We look forward to making one of the happiest days of your life, everything you dreamed it to be. When you book with us, we will discuss your celebration with you. We will go over your wedding-day timeline, and discuss your music, logistics, protocol, and more. On the day of your celebration, we will provide ceremony music, background music, and dance-worthy music for your reception. Additional services that are included are do not play lists, Microphones, sound and PA system.

We don't try, we are always Professional

We have a no drinking policy. At your special day or event, we want to be at the top of our game, making that day filled with memories! As to not hinder or impare our judgement, we want to be thinking and acting clearly and professionaly to offer you the best that we can with our services. Rest assured, your Shooting Star DJ will act in a professional manner treating you and your guests with professionalism that you would expect from us.

We keep busy, and have a current bar schedule. Currently we have 2 bars during the week, Wednesday & Friday. We also subcontract our services on Saturdays so that we are able to book Weddings & Special events on that day to Phattrax DJs & Karaoke. Dates and times are listed under our bars section above.

Our Music Collection

We have a very large collection of music, ranging from all different genre's! We not only cater to your musical needs but also to the needs or your guests, by playing the music you and your guests want! Our collection spans from the early 1940's all the way to 2020's from country, pop, rock, the great dance classics, to new dance songs! We also have many Promo  Only videos, so we also offer music videos to many  of the great songs we play! We stay current with all the new music. And we have 100 of thousands of songs to choose from!

Karaoke as good as it ever could get!

Having been a Karaoke host for decades, we have collected a VERY LARGE collection of Karaoke music! if it is made for Karaoke?  We have it! We stay updated with the latest new music for Karaoke, and have a collection that is the largest in the northern Michigan area! Again, if you do not want Karaoke at your special event we will not offer it, this choice is yours.

Karaoke, not only a DJ

Most Weddings or events we entertain don't want Karaoke, a few have, but we do offer Karaoke at your event if you choose it, and will not play it if you do not desire it.  We have a large selection library of Karaoke , and if the song is made for Karaoke we have it.



Very Affordable

We understand the cost of Weddings or a special event might add up, So we try and keep our price low. We include all our services all for one price! No Drinking Alcohol Policy

We like to be at the top of our game when we are hosting your event. We have a NO ALCOHOL Drinking policy, we want to be sure to keep the energy flowing, and not to be impaired while working for you.



Personal webpage for your Event

Manly used for weddings, we will create for you a webpage, that you can add pictures, and information about your Wedding or event, with a countdown to that special day. Tell the world all about your Special day! let them see your story!



Photo Booth Kiosk

Free of charge, we will provide a Photo Booth Kiosk for your wedding or event, this will let your guests take pictures to our Kiosk, and a QR code will come up, where they can download the picture right to thier phone. And then at a future date we will provide you with all pictures taken with the Kiosk.
